is an independent charity. (Charity Number : 1102528, Company Number: 4988176). We currently have 8 trustees on our board and 4 members of Staff . Our objectives are: (1) To promote sustainable development and the prudent use of natural
resources; We do this by: (1) Raising public awareness and understanding about sustainability We use the Brundtland definition of sustainable development : "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" Find out how to get involved and support our work. Our latest project is supported by the Big Lottery Fund - titled BASIS. Its aim is to support both community based action on the environment, as well as support those groups who wish to do more in this area. Sector Infrastructure Group for Dorset. Dorset's Third sector
infrastructure Consortium (3SIG) is a partnership between 3rd sector organisations
that provide a range of general and specialist advice and services to
frontline voluntary organisations and community groups in Dorset. This
includes help and advice on developing new organisations, funding, recruiting
Volunteers, training, developing good practice, representation, liaison,
policy response and campaigning. A brochure outlining the work of the consortium can be downloaded here.
