What is the Dorset Climate Change Coalition?

Climate Change is now widely recognised as the most important challenge facing the world this century.

There are many voluntary and public sector organisations in Dorset whose aims coincide with each other, with respect to reducing Dorset’s impact on climate change.

A Dorset Climate Change Coalition (DCCC) is being formed with partner organisations in order to present a more effective and coherent voice to communicate this message to the people of Dorset. The emphasis of this message is on mitigating the extent of climate change, by focussing on reducing CO2 emissions.

The Dorset Climate Change Coalition's mission statement is;.

“By working together, to communicate with the people of Dorset the urgency of action on Climate Change and to enable and inspire them to take action, both individually and collectively, to address this.”

Support Us

The coalition has already been successful in attracting grants from the South West Network Fund, and the Co-op group. This is in addition to seed funding provided by DA21 and Dorset County Council.

The coalition is currently looking for potential funding sources in order to support and implement its program of events as agreed by the steering group.

Please contact us below if you wish to make a donation, or are aware of a funding source which we may be able to pursue.

Dorset Agenda 21 is the secretariat for the coalition, please contact us with any enquiries.
