Would you like to undertake a Level 4 distance learning course in Sustainable Construction?

Through ten Gateway Activities, which explore sustainability issues and
problems associated with building, you will critically investigate ‘good
practice’ sustainable construction projects with a more detailed examination
of a case study, followed by awareness and application of concepts to a
selected low-rise sustainable building project. The result will be a portfolio
containing investigative information, justification and final proposals for
the development of a sustainable low-rise building project.

In a world of increasing pressures on the globe, it is important that buildings
are planned, designed, built and used in a sustainable way to reduce the
impact on the environment. This module is intended to extend your
understanding of sustainable construction, supporting your personal,
professional or organisation’s activity or interest.

For more information on this course or any of the Sustainable Education Courses then please call Gillian Hawkey on 01823 366328 or email gmh@somerset.ac.uk
